Decree of Validity Granted – The Canonization Process Advances!
We have received some good news – our Postulator, Fr. Gianni Califano, OFM, has informed us that the Decree of Validity has been granted in the Cause for Canonization of Blessed Frances Schervier.
What does this mean?
This decree signifies that all of the required documents related to the Cause have been received and are complete. Now the next phase begins: translation and further examination of the documents.
It is a very exciting time and we ask that you pray with us -- that this process may continue to unfold in union with the Holy Spirit. We will update you as the Cause proceeds!
What Happens Next?
The Official Opening of the transunto occurred on March 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints, which means that the first copy of the official documents of the Cincinnati Diocesan Inquiry were opened.
